Most of a lion's day is taken up with doing exactly what this lioness is doing.....sleeping. To watch lions during the day you could be forgiven for imagining that they are just big pussy cats with no aggressive traits at all. But if something untoward happens they can go from snoozing pussy cat to powerful raging terror in a split second and its then you truly undertsand why they have 'long been called the king of beasts.
