Impala' Pastel - drawing on colourfix paper. size 90x60cm. Impala though one of the commonest antelope in Africa are also one of the most beautiful. Incredibly elegant with their glistening coppery coat and lyre shaped horns the males spend much of their year play fighting but during breeding they fight in earnest for the right to breed. At such times they are often so obsessed with the contest they can become easy prey for predators. The females for their part dont seem to care a lot until a victor is decided.
