Sungold-Dingo (2009)
Subject: Australian Dingo warming itself in the morning sun
Dimensions (centimeters): 30 x 32
Medium: Coloured charcoal engraving, and drawing on board
Description: The Australian Dingo is actually a relative of the Asian pale footed Wolf and not a wild dog as many people think. As near as scientists can tell it came to Australia around 8000years ago and has dispersed to almost every available niche on the continent from desert to snow fields. Sadly the Dingo is in rapid genetic decline in its wild state due to interbreeding with domestic and feral dogs.
