This Gorgeous animal lives on the southern coast a couple of hours drive from here and I often go to visit the colony. They live (at least when they are on land) at the base of towering basalt cliffs which shelter their secluded bay from the wild weather. I am always struck by the sculptural qualities of the boulders and cliffs but at the same time cannot fail to notice those same living sculpture qualities in the fur seals themselves.
